Episode #52: Fluff (10/9/00)
Sgt. Edka is waiting for Jeniard when the channel leaves the warren of shacks where the records are being maintained by a flock of clerical types.
Sgt. Edka is holding a large package under his arm.
Jeniard hurries out from between two buildings, carrying a thick bundle of loose papers under one arm.
Sgt. Edka flags Jeniard down with his free hand.
Sgt. Edka: Hajene Jeniard!
Jeniard looks harassed, as most management types do after spending time with the clerical staff, whose rough edges have not yet been hewn off by more than two or three weeks of consecutive employment.
Jeniard looks up, then spots Edka.
Jeniard: Ah, hello.
Sgt. Edka holds up the package.
Jeniard hopes Edka isn't going to be onto him about the cotton again.
Jeniard: What's that?
Sgt. Edka: A replacement for that cotton I borrowed.
Sgt. Edka: Although Army stores was a bit curious as to why I required so many swabs.
Sgt. Edka: I expect there's a private or two who thinks my whole crew must be flaying the skin off our knees on a daily basis.
Sgt. Edka: ~~ amusement ~~
Jeniard chuckles, although he finds Edka's statement a but puzzling.
Jeniard decides to let it pass.
