Sime~Gen Roleplaying on IRC: Bender Cove Township Scenario
Episode #67: (11/4/97)
Alea leaves Tarsh's office, having set up all night with him.
Alea goes wearily down the hall.
Linn enters the Sime Center's lobby, for once failing to check for Tarsh beforhand.
Alea: Hello, Linn.
Alea: ==set - sat==
Linn: Hello, Alea.
Alea smiles.
Alea: So, what brings you here today.
Linn: Is Veraik around? I brought the pills that made
Snake so sick.
Alea: Oh.
Linn pats her voluminous purse.
Alea: Oh, please, let me see....
Alea: Wait....
Alea: I think he's in his office.
Alea: This way.
Alea goes toward veraik's office.
Linn follows Alea.
Alea signals at Veraik's door.
Alea: Veraik?
Alea signals again.
Veraik opens the door, wipes tentacles over eyes to rid the sleep from them. "Hello Alea."
Alea: Linn is here to see you.
Linn carefully avoids looking too closely at Veraik's writhing tentacles.
Alea sees her reaction.
Alea sighs tiredly.
Alea: Don't worry Linn...you've come along way.
Alea: =along a long=
Veraik realizes what he has done. "Sorry Linn."
Linn sighs as well.
Linn: Not far enough for Snake.
Alea slips inside wanting to see the medications Linn brought.
Alea: It takes time.
Alea says over her shoudler.
Alea: Hajene, Linn brought the medications from Snake's house.
Linn follows Alea into Veraik's office.
Alea goes over and sinks down in the Donor chair next to
Veraik's desk.
Veraik closes the door then goes to his desk and waits.
Linn sits in the visitor's chair, and starts fishing in her purse.
Alea leans forward, interested.
Alea: Let's see what you have Linn.
Linn: I can't read the label, but Nick said it's close to my phonetic spelling of what Snake said she took.
Alea reaches out for it.
Veraik: What are you talking about?
Alea: The pills..the farris medications that were messed up.
Alea: Remember?
Linn pulls out a hairbrush, three hairpins, a piece of candy, a pocketknife, and an assortment of pens in various colors, and sets them on Veraik's desk.
Linn: I know it's in here somewhere.
Alea: Yesterday, I found three different Farris medications that had been tampered .... possibly tampered iwth.
Alea lifts the bottles, quickly checking thorugh them, knowing her Farris medications.
Alea nods.
Alea: Uh huh.
Alea: Look at htis, Veraik.
Alea: The same three that I found tampered iwth...the ones Snake got from our own infirmary.
Alea: They're all filled with the wrong prescriptions.
Veraik: The meds? Let me look. Perhaps I can zlin some evidence.
Alea hands him the bottles.
Alea: See.
Linn adds two keyrings, a slide rule, and a rubber band to thee stack before finally withdrawing a pill bottle.
Linn: Here they are.
Alea: Note the red pill here...the one I found in the pain medicine bottle.
Linn sets the pill bottle on the desk, halfway between her and Veraik.
Alea: And this one...this light orange one...
Linn sweeps the rest of her stuff back into her purse.
Alea: And the light blue one...yeah, all three are here and that red one can be lethal to Farrises....
Veraik takes each bottle in turn after Alea and zlins for
Veraik takes a pill.
Veraik: === and looks===
Veraik sucks in a sharp breath in alarm. "This pill has a thin layer of plurien. That's one of Farris poisons."
Alea turns gray.
Veraik adjusts the ambient to support the Farris'
Companion nager.
Linn: Who would want to poison Snake?
Alea glances at Veraik her color slowly returning.
Linn realizes as soon as she says this that there are probably plenty of people who would be glad to poison
Snake.
Alea looks uneasily from Linn to Veraik.
Veraik: I don't think it is Snake in particular. I think it is all Farris'.
Veraik: After all we are Farris high at thsi Center.
Alea looks decidedly sick even as she nods, though she doesn't allow her nausea to show in her nager.
Linn resolves to advise Snake to steal her medications from somewhere else for a while.
Veraik reaches over and touches a tentacle to Alea's arm.
[ Her nager sings through his systems and locks on.]
Veraik: === Her - He==
Alea sets mode: +o JonDrake`
Linn: Well, at least Snake survived. She's even looking much better, thanks to Jon.
Alea gathers up the meds and dumps them in the waste basket.
Jon Drake` is now known as JonDrake.
Alea unobtrusively pulls away from Veraik.
Veraik: And Rafael. I understand that it was he hwo made the decision to bring her here. It saved her life.
Alea: Jon?
Alea: He wasn't involved in helping Snake. I read the chart.
Linn looks at Alea, bewildered.
Veraik tracks Alea with his field with no outwardsly sign.
Linn: He came and spent the night with Snake.
Alea: In the chart Briel and Veraik treated her.
Veraik: Jon was at Snake's. That was authorized.
Veraik: ==was = wasn't==
Veraik: Jon was at Snake's? That wasn't authorized.
Alea: At Snakes?
Alea: SPent the night with her?
Alea looking confused and alarmed.
Linn: Well, he showed up with her last night. It's a good thing, too. Rafe was worn out, and poor Nick is down with the flu.
Alea: WILLING?
Linn: Well, I'd have to say Snake seemed willing enough to have him around.
Alea thinks she is going to have to have a talk with that
Donor.
Veraik pulls a chart from a pile. Jon was supposed to be having his day off.
Veraik: Linn, are there any other meds that Snake has which may have been tampered with?
Veraik: Could you get them and bring them here, please.
Jon Drake wakes up, still tired and groggy.
Alea decides to leave since she isn't required here.
Linn: Well, I can hardly take Snake's entire pharmecopia. However, I will warn her that some of the
Farris medicines here at the Sime Center were tampered with, so she'll know which bottles to discard.
Alea: Already done, Linn.
Veraik: Alea? I think we should talk after Linn leaves.
Please stay, Naztehr.
Alea: I mentioend it to her yesterday.
Jon Drake is disoriented for a moment, waking up in an unfamilar room, an unfamilar bed.
Alea puases glancing back at Veraik.
Alea: As you wish, hajene.
Veraik: All right.
Linn: Good. I don't want to go through another day like yesterday.
Alea slips back into the chair wondering what in the world veraik could want.
Jon Drake is struck by a feeling of deja vu, remembering waking up hung over in Alea's room an age ago.
Jon Drake doesn't feel hung over, per se, but things are still rather jumbled.
Alea rubs at her temples, hoping Tarsh is still sleeping.
Veraik: By the way, Linn, I should have all the details completed and the school should be up and running next week.
Alea thinks it is most probable since he hadn't moved from his position in several hours.
Jon Drake realizes that this Sime draped over him is not
Briel....
Linn: Good. There are holidays coming up, and if the kids have somewhere to go when school's out, they're less likely to get in trouble.
Jon Drake begins to remember, though he's not sure which memories are real and which are dreams.
Veraik: Could you come back in two days. I'll have the flyers ready by then and we can make the final plans together.
Linn: I'll drop by in two days, then.
Alea hears holiday, flyers, and realizes the conversation has drifted.
Jon Drake is torn, needing to get back to the center, but not wanting to walk out on Snake.
Linn gets to her feet.
Alea stands also.
Linn: If you discover anything about who tampered with the medications, or why, would you please let me know?
Veraik: Thank you again for bringing the meds, Linn.
Alea: It was nice seeing you again Linn.[murmurs]
Veraik: I will. Promise.
Veraik smiles.
Jon Drake decides to compromise and slowly, carefully extracates himself.
Linn nods and leaves the office.
Jon Drake holds his field flat so as not to disturb her.
Alea sits back down in the chair, folding her hands careffuly in her lap.
Jon Drake looks back, and secure that Snake is still sleeping soundly, heads off to the shower.
Linn leaves the Sime Center and heads for some used bookstores which carry English titles, looking for some reference materials which might convince the three remaining anti-Tectonist prisoners to change their minds.
Alea sets mode: +o RafeFarri
Alea: What was it you wanted, hajene?
Veraik takes a folder and withdraws a transfer card from it.
Veraik: === card says that Alea's will have Tramila for transfer in 4 weeks from tomorrow.====
Alea stares.
Alea: Tramila...
Alea glances up at Veraik.
Alea: She's a Farris.
Jon Drake finishes his shower and comes back out.
Jon Drake is amazed that Snake is still asleep.
Veraik: Yes. Your field should be recovered about the time that Tramila will need transfer next month.
Rafe Farri is sitting in a chair watching Snake. "Ola."
Alea looks at the card again.
Alea: You are sure she's going to be here then?
Veraik: A Farris. Yes. And so are you.
Jon Drake startles.
Veraik: You know Alea. Farris' usually have transfer with Farris'.
Jon Drake whispers, "Oh! I didn't see you come in."
Alea: Yeah...well..most of the time.
Alea glances back at Veraik.
Jon Drake looks Rafe over. "Are you feeling alright now?"
Alea: You are sure she'll be here? The Tecton isn't going to transfer her since I..well...
Jon Drake seemed worried.
Alea trails off and shrugs thinking about the miscarraige.
Rafe Farri smiles. "Esnake." [points to self, points to
Snake.] "OK"
Jon Drake nods.
Alea: I mean, her time is probably over. She's not really going to be here, is she?
Alea hopefully.
Veraik: Alea. You are going to need a good transfer after such a long time.
Jon Drake approaches.
Alea thinks she can't believe it. A Farris. Finally a
Farris again. No underdraw.
Alea: As you say.
Alea nods to Veraik.
Veraik: Tramila, on the other hand, hasn't had a Farris to Farris transfer in a year and she has been shorted.
Alea's field surges in sympathy and need to give at
Veraik's words.
Rafe Farri: [spanish] I'm fine. I'll take care of
Snake.
Jon Drake: Could you do me a favor, Rafe?
Jon Drake doesn't understand.
Rafe Farri nods.
Jon Drake: I need to go back to the Center, but I didn't want to leave her alone. Can you take care of her?
Veraik: You and Tramila will, in fact, be scheduled for two transfers but Alea,....
Veraik: You must know that the first transfer will probably not be easy.
Alea's field drops flat.
Alea relaxes at his words.
Alea: I'm a Farris Veraik. I know how to handle a
Farris channel.
Rafe Farri: [points to Snake, points to self] "Esnake ok. I here."
Jon Drake nods.
Jon Drake bids his leave, smiles and heads outside.
Veraik: I'm sure you can but still I think you should first read her case.
Veraik goes to files and pulls out a thick one.
Alea: I've already read it.
Alea flushes.
Jon Drake finds the sunlight MUCH too bright.
Alea: I mean...we've talked about it, Tramila and I.
Veraik: Tramila has bee shorted for so long that she will have a very hard time letting go, especially after having to take transfer from Tamlen this month.
Alea: Tamlen? I believe I met him.
Alea: Why isn't she getting Simonie or someone like that?
Veraik: I'm afraid that Tamlen is going to short her by a lot.
Jon Drake tries to sort out all the things he thinks he saw last night as he makes his way back.
Veraik: Simonie is out of synch with her after...[rubs tentacle over month to distort his words].
Alea takes the file and opens it.
Rafe Farri sits back and thinks that the other Donor seemed very nice then falls asleep garding Snake.
Rafe Farri is now known as Tlurk.
Veraik: I'll give you Tamlen's file also.
Veraik: You will see that he is only a lower middle order Donor.
Veraik: I feel for Tramila.
Alea: Of course.
Alea thinks so does she.
Veraik: So when the two of you have transfer, Tramila will natural hold back.
Veraik: That is why I am giving you the card now.
Veraik: You are going to have to work on her all month to gain her confidence.
Alea: Thank you, Veraik.
Veraik doesn't show how hard he is gritting his teeth to know that Alea will not be there for him this month.
Tlurk is now known as Tramila.
Tramila signals at Veraik's door.
Veraik goes to the door. "Hello, Tramila."
Veraik adjusts the ambient so that Tramila doesn't zlin that his nager has locked onto Alea's.
Jon Drake is now known as OGaea.
Tramila: Veraik, you might as well not try to hide it.
I can zlin what you are doing.
Veraik stiffens. "I... turns away."
Tramila: Alea? Why are you teasing Veraik?
Alea: What?
Alea: I am certainly not teasing veraik.
Tramila: ==Tramila is only one day away from a projected bad transfer and is very need sensitive and irritable.===
Tramila: He's locked onto you.
Alea: No, he's ont.
Alea refuses to believe it.
Alea gets up and goes to stand by Tramila.
Veraik's shoulders slump. He goes to the window and looks out.
Tramila uses Alea's nager to gain strength and to help block the ambient for Veraik's comfort.
Alea: Veraik mentioned that you are going to be here for a month or so.
Alea sets mode: +o Trel
Tramila: Yes.
Alea nods.
Tramila: Tramila zlins Alea .
Alea allows her desire to be with a farris in transfer to shine through.
Tramila: I understand that we are to be transfer partners. [holds self, knowing that it will never happen,....something always happens and the promise goes unfulfilled.]
Alea reaches out and touches Tramila's arm.
Alea: I know how you feel. Do you know how long it has been since I've been with a Farris Channel?
Alea ~longing~
Tramila: But forces herself to back off. [no, it always goes wrong].
Alea removes her hand.
Tramila grabs Alea's nager then knocks her away. "No!"
Alea gasps.
Tramila: I can't. I'm not assigned to you.
Alea backs to the door.
Alea: Excuse me, hajene.
Alea ~stiffly~
Alea slips out the door.
Veraik: Wait!
Alea rushes up to her room.
Veraik adjusts the ambient to vreate a nuetral field.
Veraik: I'm sorry, Tramila.
Tramila looks sad/ "Me, too."
Trel comes up the Center's steps, looking for all the world he owns the place.
Trel's blue and white cape flutters as he reaches to release the clasps.
Trel drops the cape over his arm, revealing his Tecton uniform, with the black belt, and black trimmings.
Trel looks determined as he walks inside to speak iwth the desk clerk.
Trel: Where is Veraik ambrov Lorie.
Trel has his Donor right next to him.
Trel nods to the desk cler and quickly starts down the hall.
Veraik: I think I'm going to die.
Veraik sets mode: +o Tramila
Trel continues down the hall, keeping his Donor right at his side.
Trel comes to Veraik's door and signals.
O Gaea is now known as JonDrake.
Veraik turns at the signal and answers the door.
Trel lifts a sardonic eyebrow.
Veraik shows supprise in his nager.
Trel: Yes, the lion has left his lair. Arean't you going to invite me in?
Trel: We have a lot to talk about..Veraik...ambrov......Liorie......
Veraik: The House of Liorie welcomes you. Please.
Enter.
Trel strides in.
Trel: Hello Tramila..you look wonderful this month.
Trel doesn't even glance her way as he says it.
Tramila: Trel? What are you doing here? I thought you had other business elsewhere.
Trel shoots Tramila a warning look for questioning him.
Trel: Excuse us, please.
Trel waits impatiently, his gaze prowling hte office.
Tramila stands her ground but says no more.
Trel: Tramila!
Trel nods toward the door.
Veraik goes to his desk and sits down, indicating that the Sectuib should do the same.
Trel fingers his Zeor cape before allowing his finger to trail over the black farris belt in warning.
Jon Drake walks into the center and heads toward the stairs and his room.
Tramila frowns but leaves.
Trel nods to his Donor to lock the door as he crosses to the chair.
Trel: You've been busy.
Jon Drake: [Though he's taken a shower, his clothes still smell of the low side of town]
Trel: Since we last spoke.
Trel: Let's see....
Veraik holds his nager is check. "I'm running a Center.
Of course I am busy."
Trel: Snake is now doing illegal transfers....and collecting Donors by the dozens.
Trel: Your financial system here has thief written all over it...
Trel: And, you didn't hold up part of our bargain...
Trel eyes narrow.
Jon Drake takes another shower for good measure and changes clothes.
Jon Drake comes down to the lobby.
Veraik: So what are you going to do about it. She wouldn't be doing illegal transfers if you had not kicked her out of Zeor in the first place.
Veraik: Which part are you talking about?
{mad...suspicious]
Trel: SHe was never kicked out officially. As a matter of fact, we explained our reasons for protecting her.
Trel: Alea.
Trel pulls two letters out of his pocket and tosses them on the desk in front of veraik.
Trel: She informs me she is no longer pregnant...as well as how she lost the child.
Veraik: That's is a little too late to tell her. After she has bee mentally damaged, you just say, "OH so sorry.
We never meant to kick you out of Zeor."
Trel doesn't answer...looking down his Farris nose at
Veraik.
Alea hears Jon in his room and goes to tap on the door.
Veraik: Alea is Alea is Alea. A Farris and Zeor. If she wants to take walks into dangerous parts of town, she does it.
Veraik: I'm sure you have hda the experience.
Alea realizes Jon must have slipped out and goes back to her room.
Trel: You really think that's what caused this problelm.
Trel lowers his eyebrows in a scowl.
Veraik: She was in the bad part of town and was beaten.
Veraik: She losts the baby. You know that . It is in the report.
Trel: When you took transfer from her and burned her....that is probably what percipted the miscarraige.
Trel: The other just added to an already bad situation.
I just can't imagine a place allowing Filing cabinets to be flipped over by patients...First Order Donors to be mauled...
Veraik: Why would I do anything to harm that baby? As far as I am concerned the baby was mine even if she didn't think so.
Veraik: I am still grieving for it as she is.
Trel: Be that as it may...you promised to wathc out for her and you didn't.
Trel zlins Veraik.
Trel stares inscrutible expression.
Trel: Too bad.
Veraik: Just like you did when she was at Zeor.
Trel: That's between me and one of my householders..something you have no say...or knowledge about.
Trel: I want the letters you have..and Alea's files here.
Veraik: No.
Trel lifts his brow again, his thin lips quirking.
Trel: No?
Jon Drake realizes he's forgotten something and heads back to his room.
Veraik: Just no. or do you ot speak Simelan.
Trel pulls out a folder and tosses it on his desk.
Veraik takes the folder.
Trel: Maybe this will change your mind. Take a look at it. You might be intersted to know you didn't cover your tracks all those years ago like you thought you had.
Veraik leaves through it.
Trel: You'll find a few more recent things to add to the list..things that will guarantee you'll never see real service again.
Veraik encloses nager and says nothing.
Alea goes out into the hall, deciding to find Jon.
Jon Drake is up in his room getting his ID badge.
Trel: I think we might be able to reach some sort of agreement. What do you think?
Alea hears a noise again and pauses at Jon's door.
Alea taps.
Veraik nods. "Fine." [zlins of anger]
Trel: The letters?
Jon Drake hears the knock.
Jon Drake: Yes?
Veraik laughs. "No. You can't have them."
Jon Drake goes to the door.
Alea: It's me, Jon.
Alea smiles.
Jon Drake opens the door.
Jon Drake: Alea! How are you this morning?
Veraik: You try anything and I will have them published.
Trel: You try to use them and this will hit hte stands faster than you can take trasnfer...
Jon Drake: Why are we whispering?
Trel: Then we understand each other.
Alea shrugs.
Veraik nods. "Yes. We do."
Alea: I was worried....I mean, I think Veraik was shocked when he found out you were at Snake's all night.
Veraik: But what about Snake.
Trel: What about her?
Veraik: Are you still going to just ignore her.
Trel: Zeor's business is its own.
Trel: We are.....working.....on a solution.
Veraik: Everyone knows that she is Farris and of Zeor.
Jon Drake: I would have preferred to tell him, but Snake seemed rather needful.
Trel: So?
Alea: She's a con artist. You shouldn't have left with her.
Jon Drake: Not NEED, need. ::-)
Alea slips into JOn's room.
Alea pushes the door shut.
Alea: Look, Jon..she's a Farris...and I shouldn't say this...but you have to be careful around Snake.
Veraik: It gives you and your kind a very bad name and I don't have to say anything or DO anything. It's all on display for the world to zlin.
Trel: Like I said...we are........working.......on the situation.
Veraik: Then YOU had better work harder.
Alea: You have to understand...I think
Snake...well...she's only had two months training and I think it has warped her as a channel.
Trel shrugs.
Jon Drake: She didn't look in very good shape.
Trel stands.
Trel: Where is Alea ambrov Zeor...I'd like to zlin her myself.
Veraik stands as well.
Alea: She's not.
Alea: She's working herself into an early grave....
Alea: But she'll end up doing worse to you too if you aren't careful.
Jon Drake: I don't think anything bad happened...
Alea looks relieved.
Alea: Good.
Veraik holds himself back, nager screaming'she's mine. she's mine.'
Trel sneers in disgust.
Trel: Yes, your dependency is quite obvious.
Alea: But staying all night has veraik worried.
Veraik pulls himself together.
Alea: I'd talk to him as soon as possible...put his fears at rest.
Alea: I wanted to catch you before he did.
Trel sets mode: -o Trel
Veraik sets mode: +o Trel
Jon Drake: Ok. I'll do that. A large part of it was
Briel's recommendation. I thought that I should get to know her...
Alea nods.
Alea: I should have known.
Alea: I'm relieved.
Alea opens the door.
Alea: Let me get out of here.
Alea: Just please, talk to Veraik.
Alea slips back out.
Jon Drake: Ok, I'll go see him right now.
Veraik closes the door and goes to the window to watch the snow fall.
Alea sets mode: +o Briel
Briel is now known as Maleane.
Maleane pushes the cleaning cart down the hall, stoping in front of Jon's door and signalling.
Maleane is a renSime.
Jon Drake opens the door.
Jon Drake: Yes, Meleane?
Maleane goes into the room, zlinning Jon.
Maleane: Excuse me, hajene...I'm just here to clean up.
Maleane pulls out fresh sheets and towels and drops them on JOn's dresser.
Maleane: You haven't stripped your bed yet.
Maleane: You know, I always gather sheets on this day.
Maleane shakes her head, then zlins Jon...wondering why a nager like that could not have a mind to go with it.
Maleane moves briskly around the room, dusting in a flurry, straightening, jerking open the drapes....
Jon Drake: That's ok, Maleane, I was out working last night.
Maleane flies into the bathroom and gathers up the dirdty linen.
Maleane: I see.
Maleane wrinkles her nose and stuffs the clothes inside a towel.
Jon Drake shrugs.
Maleane: I won't be stripping your sheets for you.
Remember, you are suppose to have them in a pile by the door for me.
Maleane comes back out, dusting the top of hte draperies as she passes, opening the window to let hte frigid air inside.
Maleane goes back past him toward her cart.
Jon Drake: Thank you!
Maleane: You be sure to have those sheets outside later.
I'll gather them as I pass.
Maleane pauses to dump his clothes in a bag on the side of the cart and then leaves.
Jon Drake turns back and sees to stripping the bed.
Better to do it now than get distracted.
Maleane is now known as Briel.
Briel comes out of her room, run out by Maleane.
Briel: Dangerous woman.
Briel starts down the hall toward downstairs.
Briel sees Jon's door opened.
Briel: Hello Jon.
Alea leans against her door, relieved that today isn't cleaning day for her room as she hears the mutterings down the hall.
Jon Drake: Hello, Brie. How are you doing this morning?
Briel: Fine and you?
Briel zlins Jon.
Briel: What happened to you?
Jon Drake: A bit tired.
Briel: Who have you been around?
Jon Drake: Snake needed my help.
Briel: Ahhh...
Briel nods.
Briel: You don't look like you've had much sleep at all.
Alea sets mode: +o wisesnake
Jon Drake: No, I don't think I did.
Briel: Well, you should be more careful about that.
Briel: Have you talked to veraik yet to find out who he has assigned you to?
Jon Drake: No I haven't. I've only been back a few minutes.
Jon Drake: I left Rafe to watch over her.
Jon Drake: She was still asleep when I left--I don't think I slept very well.
Briel looks surprised.
Briel: If she was asleep then she was probably up most of the night...without your knowledge...or she is still feeling the after affects of that medicine.
Briel: Anyway...
Briel: Dont worry about Snake. Rafe and Nick are both there.
Jon Drake: Ok. She seemed especially tense yesterday.
Briel: Well Jon, if I were a Farris, I'd be pretty tense right now too.
Briel: Specualtion is that only the Farris drugs were tampered with. And Snake IS the only one who took one...
Jon Drake: ~~Huh?~~
Jon Drake: Hmmm.....
Briel zlins Jon Drake's confusion.
Jon Drake: I was helping Alea with those the other day...
Briel: You did know that Alea found some drugs had been switched a couple of days ago?
Jon Drake: She couldn't find any fosbine.
Briel: Yeah, well...didn't she tell you she found three different drugs, all farris compatiable that had been switched?
Briel wonders if she has spoken out of turn.
Jon Drake: Yes, she did say something about some irregularity.
Briel: Ah...good.
Briel: Just be sure to check any meds in your room before taking anything. If you aren't sure you should have it or are afraid it's not hte right thing...bring it to one of the channels to zlin
Jon Drake: Brie, to tell you the truth, a lot of last night was a blur. I'm not sure what was real and what was a dream. Her world is so different.
Jon Drake: I'll be sure to be careful.
Jon Drake: Any idea what has happened?
Briel: Not a thing.
Briel: No idea at all.
Briel: Well, I'm on my way to lunch.
Briel: You can get back to whatever it is you were doing.
Briel hears the slam of a door and sees Maleane leaving her room and sighs in relief.
Briel: See ya' later.
Jon Drake: I need to talk to Veraik about my being away.
Briel heads down the hall.
Briel: He was downstairs last time I saw him.
Jon Drake: Thanks.
Briel: No problem.
Briel goes downstairs to eat.
Jon Drake heads down to Veraik's office.
Briel goes down the back stairs to the cafeteria.
Alea goes to her vanity and pulls the pins from her hair and begins to brush it.
Alea is still shaken by Tramila's actions of earlier.
Jon Drake goes up to the door and signals.
Alea has never been shoved away before ... but should have known a Farris would be like that.
Alea thiks that is one of the reasons she is no longer at
Zeor.
Alea sets mode: +o Veraik
Veraik opens the door. "Hello Jon."
Jon Drake: Good morning Hajene.
Veraik: Come in Jon.
Alea finishes brushing her hair and reaches for the pins to put it back up...decides to shower instaed.
Jon Drake: I needed to check in with you about yesterday.
Veraik sits behind his desk and motions for Jon to sit as well.
Jon Drake sits down.
Veraik: Jon. I know that yesterday was your off day but you shouldn't just go to town and Snake without first checking in.
Veraik: What if there had been an emergency and we had to know where you were.
Veraik goes to his file cabinet and pulls out a file.
Jon Drake: I understand, Sir.
Jon Drake: I initially planned on going for a walk, but one thing lead to another.
Veraik nods in understanding.
Alea strips off her skirt and top and then turns the water on.
Veraik: Just remember from how on, inform us. You are a
First.
Veraik: That means something.
Alea is exhausted from being up all night with Tarsh andhopes to get a quick relaxing shower before going back downstairs.
Veraik: You are our life line, Jon.
Alea steps into the hot water.
Veraik: It is a very large responsibiliy.
Jon Drake: Yes, Hajene. I will remember.
Veraik: Good.
Veraik: And now I am very glad to dropped by.
Jon Drake: Snake seemed badly off, and with her two
Donors unavailable for her, I didn't feel I could turn her down.
Veraik: I have your new Transfer Card. [pulls card out of folder.]
Alea remembers Tarsh's grief and shudders over it, wondering how she can help him.
Veraik: Then you probably did the right thing however, it only takes a monent to sign out of the Center.
Alea allows the water to beat down on her...getting rid of the kinks in her muscles.
Jon Drake: Yes Hajene?
Jon Drake: Yes, Hajene.
Veraik: You've had two transfers with Briel. You can not have another.
Veraik: You will have to wait for a while to have transfer with her again.
Alea lifts her face to the spray, allowing it to wash away the sleep, wishing it was that easy to wash away their grief.
Jon Drake thinks to protest again, but realizes it would be futile.
Jon Drake: I have come to understand that, Hajene.
Veraik: Veraik zlins wisesnake .
Veraik: ==oops.
Veraik: Veraik zlins JonDrake .
Veraik hands Jon the transfer card.
Jon Drake takes the card.
Jon Drake: Thank you, Hajene.
Wise Snake is now known as phantom.
Phantom [a breeze stirs the curtains in the bathroom window]
Jon Drake looks at the card.
Alea feels a breeze and turns to see her bathroom window open.
Alea: How in the world.
Alea jumps out of the shower and hurries over to it and slams it.
Alea goes back and gets under the hot pelting spray of the water.
Veraik: ===The Card says that you are assigned to
Kaymeil for transfer. She is a mid First Order
Channel.===
Phantom is now known as shadows.
Shadows tease the edges of Alea's vision.
Alea blinks.
Alea: Who's there?
Veraik: Kaymeil is a good match for you.
Shadows is now known as thewind.
Alea moves the curtain back and looks around, thinking
Tarsh must have woken up and come upstairs.
Thewind flutters the draperies... the sun shines in, cold and brilliant.
Jon Drake doesn't recognize the name.
Jon Drake: Have I met this channel before?
Alea sticks her head back in the shower when she doesn't see anyone, thinking she imagined it and begins to soap her hair.
Thewind is now known as wisesnake.
Veraik: No, but I have. She is good. You'll like her.
Wise Snake slips through the bathroom window and lands softly on her feet.
Jon Drake: Thank you Hajene.
Alea sticks her head until the water to rinse the soap out.
Wise Snake zlins Alea.
Alea pushes her hair out of her face and slicks it back, then grabs soap to wash with.
Veraik: Remember, Jon. It is all a part of the job.
Veraik: Usually you don't have a Channel more than once.
Alea quickly washes herself and then rinses the soap from her body.
Veraik: Dependency is to be guarded against at all costs.
Jon Drake wonders how one can get used to that.
Jon Drake: Isn't that difficult, Hajene? Switching so often?
Veraik thinks....and I feel into the trap.
Alea turns off the water.
Alea reaches for the towel, thinking she feels much better now after the shower.
Veraik: Yes but if you have evey experinenced having to break a dependency, you never again desire the possibility.
Wise Snake crosses softly to the door and leans her back against it; waits.
Jon Drake: I see.
Alea feels around, finds the towel and pulls it into the shower....
Alea wraps her hair and finds the toher towel, and dries off stepping out of the shower as she does.
Veraik: No and hopefully you never will.
Jon Drake: Thank you, Hajene.
Alea senses something and glances up.
Alea: Snake!
Veraik: You can stay with Briel until your Donor arrives.
Alea feels a breeze and looks to the window....hurries over and closes it, shivering.
Alea wraps the towel around her.
Jon Drake: Thank you Hajene.
Wise Snake smiles.
Wise Snake: Hello, Alea.
Wise Snake: [softly]
Alea nods, concerned.
Alea: What are you doing here?
Veraik stands.
Wise Snake: Waiting for you.
Veraik: Well, if you require anything else or would like to talk, please come back. My door is open.
Alea cocks her head sideways.
Alea: Let's go into my room and talk.
Jon Drake stands.
Alea motions to the door Snake is leaning against.
Jon Drake: Yes, Hajene. I'll remember that.
Wise Snake: I like it in here. It's warm.
Alea: Warmth.
Alea nods.
Alea: Very well.
Alea: How can I help you?
Veraik only nods, his dependency and his need taking all his energy.
Alea leans back against the sink.
Veraik closes his door behind Jon and sets the locks.
Jon Drake heads out to the cafeteria.
Wise Snake studies Alea; eyes intense, slitted.
Wise Snake: I have what you want.
Alea confused by Snake's words.
Jon Drake is famished--he should be able to induce half the town's Smes to eat.
Alea crosses her arms and ankles as she leans.
Alea: What do you mean?
Wise Snake: Or perhaps I should say... what you need.
Alea thinks about the loss of her child and what she would really want would be the baby back.....
Alea: Need?
Alea is sure she misunderstood...first she is offered
Tramila and now Snake, another Farris, is talking about need with her...
Jon Drake doesn't usually eat at the cafeteria, but he doesn't want to be bothered with preparation.
Wise Snake zlins Alea.
Wise Snake:'s reaction.
Wise Snake shakes her head.
Wise Snake: Maybe I was wrong.
Alea: I don't understand Snake?
Alea sighs and drops her arms, going forward.
Jon Drake finds that he is at the tail end of breakfast items and loads up on what he can find.
Alea is a bit wary of Snake's odd behavior but her concern pushes her forward.
Wise Snake starts to back off, but the door is in the way.
Alea stops.
Alea lifts her hands and moves back to lean against the sink.
Alea: It's okay, Snake.
Alea: Do you want to um, sit down...
Wise Snake has a different look now... torment hidden underneath.
Alea looks around for somewhere to sit...then shrugs.
Wise Snake: No.
Alea reaches out with her nager, low though it is, and tries to give comfort to Snake.
Jon Drake leaves the line and looks for a place to sit.
He wonders if Briel is still here.
Wise Snake: Alea...
Briel is sitting in the cafeteria with a moderate lunch in front of her, staring out at the garden where the gnome is located, though not in sight.
Alea: Yes?
Alea offers comfort, concern.
Wise Snake: I... I have been thinking about you.
[confession]
Alea looks wary.
Wise Snake: A lot.
Alea brows draw down and her forehead wrinkles.
Alea knows wisesnake never wastes energy on anything and wonders why her....
Jon Drake takes his tray over to where Briel is sitting.
Briel smiles.
Briel: Hello JD.
Briel: What's up?
Wise Snake: You've seen how I've worked with Nick... everybody says he's perfect. If you could zlin you'd say so too... but he isn't ready. He won't be ready for me for a long time.
Alea: I can't zlin him, but I know he's got great potential, Snake.
Alea: He'll be great for you.
Alea nods encouragment.
Wise Snake: Yes. One day.
Alea: One day.
Jon Drake: I talked to Veraik.
Alea aechos.
Wise Snake: A long time from now. wisesnake haunted.
Briel: Great!
Jon Drake sits down.
Wise Snake: That's a long time to wait.
Alea starts to go forward again but stops herself.
Alea: Rafe is here for at least one more month.
Wise Snake shivers.
Jon Drake: I have my assignment card...
Wise Snake: Rafe isn't always here.
Briel: And did you end up with Veraik?...no, you two are two far off....
Jon Drake recalls.
Briel: Hmmm.
Briel: Who did he assign you to?
Wise Snake: And sometimes when he's here, he isn't here.
Wise Snake: Not really...
Jon Drake: ...Kaymeil.
Alea nods sympathetically.
Briel wrinkles her brow.
Briel: I don't think I've heard....wait...Kaymeil....Kaymeil ambrov Dar?
Briel looks at Jon.
Briel: Is that who it is?
Jon Drake checks the card.
Jon Drake: Apparently so.
Jon Drake: What's wrong?
Alea: Veraik as the Sectuib's agreement that someone will be there for you...
Briel: What's wrong?
Briel chuckles.
Briel: Nothing.
Briel: Absolutely nothing.
Briel: Kaymeil is wonderful.
Briel snickers and puts her cup to her mouth to try to hide it.
Wise Snake scowls.
Wise Snake: The Sectuib's agreement is worth nothing to me.
Jon Drake doesn't by it.
Alea stiffens slightly, then relaxes.
Wise Snake: And Veraik's definition of "there" is very different from mine.
Alea: He's doing his best, Snake. You know how things are in the Tecton...
Wise Snake shakes her head.
Alea: Look how long it's been since I've had a Farris transfer with a channel.
Wise Snake: You don't understand. I have to have somebody there, by my side.
Wise Snake: [increased stress]
Jon Drake doesn't buy it.
Jon Drake: What's going on? Really?
Alea: You have Rafe, Snake.
Briel: Nothing, really.
Wise Snake: Rafe has to sleep some time. I can't make him stay up 24 hours a day... I know, I've tried.
Alea: You have to rest too, Snake.
Alea: And in those times you aren't resting, you shouldn't have to work.
Briel: Do you know anything about Householding Dar?
Wise Snake: I get more rest than I can deal with. I need more work, not more rest.
Jon Drake: No, can't say that I do.
Alea: You'll work yourslef to death, Snake. wisesnake laughs shortly.
Alea: From what Nick said, you are working all the time.
Briel: Householding Dar is very unique in the fact that they...
Briel looks around...
Wise Snake: And still barely keeping entran at bay. I fear entran far more than any lack of sleep.
Briel: They are trained in martial arts...all kinds of self-defense.
Alea: We have more than enough work here.
Alea: Why don't you come in and help out some.
Wise Snake: When I was here before it was just a bunch of standing around. There was never enough work.
Alea ~deep concern over entran~
Alea: We have more than enough. The Center is more established now...word has gotten out....people realize they can get paid, and that we aren't going to hurt them.
Alea thinks of Fise and is glad that rumor didn't get out about his sloppy technique.
Briel: They even carry weapons.
Jon Drake: Really? Interesting.
Briel: Very very interesting house. I had htought of joining them once. That's how I met Kaymeil...but that was years ago.
Alea: Have you thought about going to Zeor or hte Tecton and asking for help.
Wise Snake disbelief.
Wise Snake: What kind of help do you suggest I ask for?
Alea shrugs, feels the towel slipping and rewraps it tighter.
Alea: Work.
Alea: A new assignment.
Jon Drake: Hmmm.. Be honest with me, Briel. What has amused you so?
Briel takes a sip of her tea, finally giving up on covering her amusement.
Briel: Let's just say taht all of the Dar people I've ever met are not only nuts about health, but will excersice you to death. I have never met one in better shape.
Wise Snake: A new assignment?
Briel: Sometimes I think their Gens could out run and out work even me, a first order channel.
Wise Snake frustrate.
Alea: Snake.
Wise Snake: Frustrate == frustrated.
Alea sighs.
Alea: I don't know what you want. I don't know how to help you.
Alea: Trel..Sectuib, would find you work if you went to him. And the Tecton, no matter what they are like, wouldn't allow one of their channels to die out on the street...
Briel: Kaymeil, in particular, I seem to remember she was very very..um...well....enthusiastic about her line of work.
Briel grins widely, remembering.
Jon Drake: Hmmm...
Wise Snake: You may not be aware of this, because you weren't here at the time... but the last time I saw your
Sectuib face to face, he was threatening me with public attrition.
Alea gasps, paling.
Alea: Trel wouldn't do that.
Wise Snake: He did.
Alea: I...I can't imagine...
Alea shivers.
Alea realizes she is getting cold standing in this bathroom...
Alea: Do you think we could go in the other room so I can dress?
Wise Snake: It was just after Aleiaa died. Your Sectuib came to retreive her body. He also demanded that I bear his next child or die publicly.
Alea ~grief~
Wise Snake is infuriated by Alea's distractability.
Alea: It must have been his grief.
Wise Snake stands aside silently.
Wise Snake: [unblocking the door]
Alea goes slowly into the other room and to her armoire and grabs her robe.
Alea drops the towel and quickly slips it on--zeor blue and frilly.
Wise Snake sinks down to the bathroom floor, curls her arms around her knees.
Briel: I'm sure you'll like kaymeil. really.
Alea goes back to the bathroom, pulling a chair up by the door and seats herself.
Jon Drake: I hope so. I'll keep an open mind.
Alea projects comfort.
Alea: Tell me, Snake...why did you come here?
Wise Snake 'e eyes stare at nothing... remembering.
Jon Drake: In any case, Veraik says that until she arrives, I'm still assigned to you.
Briel looks up surprised.
Briel: Really?
Briel smiles.
Briel: That's great, Jon. You're a good Donor. I'll be glad to have your help and support until then.
Jon Drake: I'll like that too, Brie.
Briel nods and finishes off her tea.
Briel: In that case...you want to help me in the dispensery?
Jon Drake: I'd be happy to.
Briel stands.
Briel: Great.
Briel gathers her dishes and takes them to dispose of them.
Wise Snake: Are you asking because you really want to know? [very quietly]
Alea sighs, sadly.
Alea: Of course I want to know, Snake.
Alea studies the woman/child and worries that she has seen way too much of the world for one so new to being a channel.
Jon Drake finds that he's pretty much finished and follows suit.
Briel heads down the hall and into the dispensery to start her afternoon work.
Wise Snake: Because I wanted to take you away and train you. I wanted you to be what Nick may never get the chance to be.
Wise Snake: It's ridiculous, isn't it.
Wise Snake: You proved that to me just now.
Alea smiles.
Alea: Snake, you'll never be satisfied with any Donor you have.
Trel goes to the front desk in search of Alea.
Alea sets mode: +o Trel
Wise Snake: Don't say that.
Alea: Snake...you want the "perfect" Donor...but no such thing exists.
Alea: Justl ike there is no perfect channel.
Alea: You're young...I hate to see you disillusioned simply because you can't find what you're searching for.
Wise Snake: It doesn't have to be perfect. Just good enough. Just good enough that I won't be driven crazy by him or her.
Alea: Like you drive him or her crazy?
Alea: Like you are probably driving Rafe crazy by demanding he work ungodly hours?
Alea sighs sadly.
Wise Snake: Only because Nick is ill.
Alea: Well, what do other channels do when their Donors are ill?
Alea shrugs.
Alea: They have to do without sometimes.
Alea studies snake, concerned.
Wise Snake: Alea, I can't be alone. Not for hours and hours on end. Things happen, things I don't even remember.
Trel does see Alea. He reaches behind the front desk and pulls out the floor plan to see where her room is located then stalks off towards it.
Alea is really concerned now.
Alea: What are you talking about, Snake?
Wise Snake: I don't know half the time. When it gets to be too much to take, I just... go blank. Anything can happen, and has.
Alea: You are having MEMORY lapses?
Trel signals at Alea's door.
Alea glances at the door, then back at Snake.
Wise Snake stiffens.
Alea: Look Snake.
Wise Snake augments and, quick as a blink, leaps out
Alea's window headfirst.
Alea decides to ignore the door.
Alea: Snake?!
Alea: Wiat....
Wise Snake is now known as vanished.
Alea runs toward the window.
Alea: What the shenned...
Alea sighs and shakes her head.
Trel is now known as SecTrel.
Alea turns and goes to answer the door.
Alea: Trel?
Sec Trel: ALEA?
Alea incredulous.
Alea: Uh...Sectuib.
Sec Trel: May I come in?
Alea steps back to allow him entrance.
Alea: Of course, hajene.
Alea is stunned.
Sec Trel: How are you? [zlins]
Alea: I...well..I'm fine.
Alea flushes and pulls on the collar of her robe.
Sec Trel: I see Veraik didn't keep his promise. You are without child.
Alea: What brings you here...
Alea ~grief~
Alea: Things happened. I wrote you about it.
Alea: It was an accident.
Alea turns and walks across the room and seats herself on the bed. Motioning to a chair she indicates he can sit if he'd like.
Sec Trel lies his blue and white cape over the back a chair.
Sec Trel sits and waits.
Alea figits under his stare.
Alea: It's been years...Trel..Years...what brings you here now.
Sec Trel: You....[sighs] and [snears] Veraik.
Alea sighs.
Alea: Don't be too hard on Veraik. He wants....well...
Alea looks away.
Alea: He won't do what he has threatened.
Sec Trel: Veraik. [snears] HE is the problem.
Alea does answer. Finally, softly..."How are you doing?"
Sec Trel: I had such hopes. A Farris child.
Alea: The last time I saw you was at the funeral....though we never got to talk...you were surrounded by so many of Zeor....
Alea: I know, Trel...
Alea sighs again.
Sec Trel: You and...Aleaa. Lost...[whispers] lost.
Sec Trel closes eyes in remembrance.
Alea shares in his grief.
Alea: I wanted to come to you, share with you over the loss of Aleiaa..but....my job...I couldn't risk that. I even took a risk coming to the funeral.
Sec Trel zlins Alea. You seem to be recovering well.
Alea: I have someone who is helping me.
Alea smiles softly.
Sec Trel: Your job....yes.
Sec Trel: Who is that?
Alea: He's there to share the grief with....
Alea glances at Trel and smiles.
Alea: His name is Tarsh Chutmas. He's a renSime...the father of the baby.
Sec Trel looks up in surprise. Veraik told me the child was his.
Alea pales.
Alea ~grief~
Alea: Oh, shen, Trel.
Alea drops her head and sighs.
Alea: I suppose it's possible it is his...
Sec Trel: Oh?
Alea: She ...was...his.
Alea: The job...
Sec Trel: Say that again?
Alea: You know I've had to do all kinds of things for this job. ONe of them...well, I got involved with the
Controller ot keep a better eye on things....he's a really nice guy.....
Alea: But...Tarsh and I ended up together and...
Alea: Well...we are very close....
Alea: I never thought about it being anyone else's but
Tarsh's...
Alea: I had no idea Veraik thought the child was his.
Sec Trel: Alea. You know that a renSime is not a healthy combination. You are Farris.
Alea looks stubbornly at Trel.
Alea: I love him.
Alea: We can work it out.
Alea: There have been others in this situation. I've researched it.
Sec Trel: Apparently he did. Is it possible or was it wishful thinking on his part?
Alea: I don't see howt hat's any of your business, Trel.
Alea ~stubborn/embarrassed~
Sec Trel: True but it is a very difficult situation and one that has to be carefully orchestrated.
Sec Trel shrugs. "All of Zeor is my businness, Alea."
Sec Trel is now known as SctbTrel.
Alea: Of course, Sectuib.
Alea: I apologize.
Alea: It's been awhile since I've been at Zeor and have not thought of you as Sectuib in a long time.
Sctb Trel smiles. "Because I am your brother-in-law?"
Alea shrugs.
Alea: Aleiaa was my half sister.
Alea sad.
Sctb Trel: I miss her.
Alea: I wish now that I had come back to Zeor instaed of continuing on....maybe I could have known her better....
Alea: But I just couldn't....
Alea shivers.
Sctb Trel: She was a good Donor and a wonderful wife.
Alea: I know that.
Sctb Trel: And now she... the baby..your baby...all gone.
Alea goes over to the vanity and drops the towel from her head and begins to brush her hair.
Sctb Trel sad.
Alea: It was an accident.
Alea: I know you've been through grief over my sister's death...and her baby...
Alea: I ... shen, Trel...why are you here?
Sctb Trel: One that I am sure Veraik could have prevented if he had been caring for you the way he promised he would.
Alea: I can't...I don't want to think about all the grief right now.
Alea: He tried, Trel.
Sctb Trel: Sorry. [looks back]
Alea: I tend to be just a tad rebellious and have to do things my own way.
Alea: You nkow that.
Alea: I'm a Farris.
Sctb Trel gives a little laugh. "THAT you are."
Sctb Trel: I just wanted to appologize for sending you out before your training was complete.
Alea: My training was complete, Trel.
Alea: I wasn't going to work with you...not with how clutzy I was. Think of what everyone would have said...and then on top of that I found out I had a sister...
Alea shakes her head.
Alea: No, you have nothing to apologize for in that aspect.
Sctb Trel: Also, I had to talk to Veraik about his
'bribe' of our house. [puffs up]
Alea sighs.
Alea: That is my fault.
Alea: In my years of spying and never getting caught,
I'm afraid I got a little bit lax in keeping things so secret.
Sctb Trel: Sorry Alea, but I am still Sectuib. I should have insisted.
Alea: Veraik found those letters simply because, in my arrogance, I thought they'd never be found.
Sctb Trel: Yes...well.
Alea stands and goes to her closest and opens it...sees her maternity clothes and closes it and goes to a box and pulls out some fresh clothes.
Alea turns her back and quickly dresses in a long sleeved sweater and warm skirt.
Sctb Trel sighs. "It was ashame that he found them but what is done is done. It is time for a change."
Alea: Oh?
Alea turns, looking interested.
Alea: What do you mean?
Alea goes back to the table and gathers her pins and twists her hair up on her head and starts to pin it.
Briel sets mode: +o Trel
Trel: Do you think that Veraik will give Zeor any more trouble, Alea?
Alea: No, Trel.
Alea: Veraik is really a good person underneath.
Alea: You know he is Tecton all the way...basically.
Trel: Oh...
Trel: You could have fooled me.
Alea: I didn't say Farris. I said Tecton.
Alea shakes her head.
Trel: He bribed Zeor with your letters, Alea.
Alea: He was desperate, Trel.
Trel: Why do you say that?
Alea: What would you do if you just found out that Zeor might be crashing down arotund your ears....
Trel: Never thought about it.
Alea: What lengths would you go to in your desperation to save Zeor if you found out your wife and child had just been murdered.....and you were afraid you had no heir and Zeor was surely going to fall vbecause of this...
Alea: Oh no?
Alea: THink back....
Alea: I've heard what happened here? That you went wild in your grief and demanded a young channel have your child.
Trel blanches.
Alea gets up and goes to Trel and takes his hands.
Alea: Trel....
Trel: I.
Alea: I know you aren't that way....I know it....
Alea: But sometimes people do desperate things in their grief and anger.
Trel locks onto Alea's nager.
Trel: Yes.
Alea: Just like veraik, in his grief over my betrayal, over the betrayal by a house he yearns to be a memeber of, went crazy and blackmailed you.
Alea: Please, it's like an ant going to a cat and threatening it.
Trel: What? [looks up into her eyes]
Alea: He was fighting back.
Alea: Just like you were fighting back in your grief to save your house.
Alea: Please, Trel...don't be too hard on him.
Alea sits down beside him, holding onto his hand.
Trel: Veraik? wants to be Zeor? and so he bribes the
House he wishes to join. That is hard to believe.
Alea: Now tell me..what did you mean when you said change?
Alea shakes her head.
Alea: Later...just tell me what you had in mind.
Alea thinking perhaps he is talking about a farris channel here...or maybe more moeny for the Center.
Trel: Just that you could come back. Stay at the house.
Be safe...away from....from this.
Alea: From what?
Alea: Come back?
Alea's eyes widen.
Alea: You mean to Zeor?
Trel: Yes.
Alea ~excitement, joy~
Trel: It would be like old times.
Alea remembers the old times fondly..the rolling hills, green grass, peaceful times being surrounded by distant relations...by Farrises...
Alea: I...
Alea opens her mouth to reply but sees a uniform top in a nearby chair.
Trel: You...you are so lovely...Aleiia.
Alea recognizes it as Tarsh's.
Alea hears Trels words.
Alea: Excuse me.
Trel blinks then realizes his mistake.
Trel: He stands. "I'm sorry, Alea."
Alea: I am too Trel.
Alea stands also.
Alea: But...I...can't go with you.
Alea ~frustration/sadness~
Trel: Why not?
Trel: There is nothing left for you here.
Alea: Because of the same reason I'm making it through my grief...there's someone speical in my life...
Alea: Oh, but you're wrong...there is.
Alea: I can't leave him..not now...not when he's hurting so much.
Trel: Your renSime?
Alea thinks not ever as far as she can see right now.
Alea: Yes, Trel. My renSime.
Trel nods his head.
Trel: Fine. But if you require HELP, call me.
Alea grief...but not like when she had to make this choice a few months ago when she found out about Tarsh's other activitites and had to choose him over this.
Alea: Of course, Sectuib.
Trel: You are of my House. You are me. I am yours.
Zeor.
Alea: Always, Trel.
Alea not sure...
Trel: Trel zlins Alea .
Trel: Says nothing.
Trel: Report to me if Veraik gives me trouble.
Alea goes over to the chair and retrieves his cloak, rubbing her fingers gently over the zeor patch.
Alea: He won't Trel.
Alea: He is basically a good man.
Alea thinks a pervert, stubborn, strong-willed, but basically a good man.
Trel: I guess I should see Tramila and I understood that
Rafael is in the area as well.
Alea blinks, remembering Snake's actions.
Alea: Uh...
Trel: Can you tell me where they are?
Alea: Well, Tramila is downstairs somewhere hiding in abject fear of getting near me.
Alea hands Trel his cloak, looking longingly at the colors...
Alea: Come back tomorrow..I'll ...uh...know by then exactly where Rafael is.
Trel: Thank you.
Briel looks at the cloak he is holding.
Briel: We have a room here if you'd like ot stay.
Briel: The clerk downstairs has all the information.
Briel: ==Alea on those three lines==
Trel: Thank you. I would appreciate that.
Alea reaches up and hugs Trel.
Alea: It's been too long, Trel....
Trel reveles in her nager.
Trel: Yes it has.
Alea steps back.
Alea: I'll talk to you later...Oh..um....by the way....no one realizes we are related.
Alea: Or that Aleiaa was my sister.
Trel nods sadly then follows her at the door to find where he can stay for the night.
Alea: Good night.
